Why Do I Need to Wear a Mask?

I need some help.

I followed my doctor’s and family’s wishes and got the COVID vaccine. I was told I would be better protected and didn’t have to wear a mask. By getting the vaccine I would also protect others from getting the virus.

Now in New Jersey, I am told I need to wear a mask. Question. If the vaccine protects me and others at 95%-98%, why do I need to wear a mask? Only two reasons I can think of:

1.) The vaccine doesn’t work.

2.) The government and others are messing with me due to their incompetence or control.

Which is it?

Or, are there any other reasons why I need to wear a mask that I am missing?
